PURPOSE:To obtain an oxide superconducting material having high sintered density and large mechanical strength by heat-treating a specified compound oxide. CONSTITUTION:An oxide superconducting material expressed by the formula is obtd. by heat-treating Y2BaCuO5 (in the formula, X is 0-0.7). Although there may be a correlation between the kind of the heat-treating atmosphere and the temp., an oxide superconducting material suitable to the aimed purpose may be obtd. by heat-treating, for example, in atmospheric air at 1210 deg.C, in O2 atmosphere at 1240 deg.C, or in N2 atmosphere at 1150 deg.C. Further, similar effect may be obtd. by constituting the oxide superconducting material of a >=4 components system by replacing a part of the constituting elements in the formula; i.e. Y, Ba, Cu, O, by La, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Sr, Sc, V, Cl, F, etc. Y2BaCuO5 is obtd. by mixing BaCO3, Y2O3, CuO, in a predetermined proportion, and mixing further thereafter by the wet process after adding a solvent, drying the mixture, and pulverizing a product obtd. by precalcining the mixture. |
