PURPOSE:To prevent the left-turn accident by a big truck by providing a contact- detecting plate capable of appearing and disappearing in front of a rear wheel of the truck to be operated by the operation of a direction indicator. CONSTITUTION:When a switch is closed by a left-turn operation of a direction indicator, an electric motor is started by a controller, and a contact-detecting plate 6 provided with tape switches over the whole surface is turned toward a detection position 6a from a magazine position 6b. When the contact-detecting plate 6 is brought to the detection position 6a, the limit switch of the controller is closed. If a pedestrian touches the contact-detecting plate 6 during the left-turning of the truck, a detection element 10 is bent to close a tape switch inserted therein, and a buzzer at a driver's seat is operated to indicate a danger. When a handle is returned, the electric motor 23 is rotated reversely, and the contact-detecting plate 6 is raised to return to the magazine position 6b. |
