Laboratory centrifuge to test out liquid samples has a series of rotating arms with tilting holders. The sample tubes are mounted in sets of six in a plastics holder with a lip along one end. The holder slots into the holders on the arms, each arm having two such holders. As the centrifuge rotates, the holders swing into the vertical position about a pivot, reverting to horizontal as the rotor slows down again. The plastic holders are then removed with their sets of tubes. For use in laboratories testing large numbers of samples, e.g. biological samples such as using blood or lymph liquid. Allows one centrifuge to handle a large number of samples simultaneously by having holders which can be easily inserted and removed but which are safe to operate.
