<p>Slitform drainage openings in the side walls and bottom together with straight vertical recesses forming drainage channels, in the outer side walls, are provided in moulds of synthetic material for the production of soft cheeses. The channels extend to the bottom of the side walls but not to their upper rims, whilst the drainage of the bottom surface is ensured by feet on which the moulds stand. The moulds are injection mouldings made of material which is highly resistant to heat, chemicals, shock and is physiologically harmless, such as polyacetal, reinforced polypropylene, polyamide, etc. In the upper zone of the moulds the elasticity of the material causes bulging so that the moulds pack tightly side by side. No curds are wasted outside the mould during draining and their stability of form ensures continued efficient usage.</p> |
