PURPOSE:To reduce the number of processes and to enable the production of thermal contractive tubes being excellent in insulation and waterproof properties, by a method wherein a string- shaped non-crosslinking type adhesives is inserted into the inside of a crosslinking resin tube and the resultant work is processed. CONSTITUTION:A string-shaped non-crosslinking type adhesives 2 inserted into the inside of a crosslinking resin tube 1 is fed through a supply stand 3 to a heating furnace 4. Fluidity is given to the adhesives in such a way as heats the tube 1 in the heating furnace at higher than a softening temperature of the crosslinking resin of the tube and of the non-crosslinking type adhesives. The tube 2 and the string-shaped adhesives 2 are then flattened by means of two flattening rolls 5, the adhesives being closely adhered to the whole circumference of the inner wall of the tube 1. Two expanding rolls 6, cutting the flattening rolls 5 at right angles, expands the tube back to the original shape which was formed before flattening. The resultant tube is then placed in an expansion die consisting of a pressure reduction chamber 7 and a cooling chamber 8. The tube is expanded in the pressure reduction chamber resulting from the production of the difference in the pressure between the inside and the outside of the tube 1, being hardened by cooling in the cooling chamber 8 to produce a thermal contractive tube 9. The expanded thermal contractive tube 9 is wound around a winding device 10. |
