The tubular percutaneous drain is for an artificial bowel outlet etc., and comprises a pipe of carbon or similar material. The pipe (14) has an integral flange (16), protruding radially outwards at a point between the ends. Means can be included (15) for securing the end of an internal body passage, typically a rib round the pipe periphery, or holes at intervals to aid sewing of the passage into place.
