Dishwasher with program for lightly soiled articles - eliminates special cleaning cycle to reduce water and running costs

For cleaning the lightly soiled items e.g. glasses etc. a certain amount of water is supplied to the wash container where it is heated up and mixed with a clear rinse agent. After circulation the liq. is pumped away and the dishes dried. When cleaning only lightly soiled items the cleaning cycle can be dispensed with which considerably reduces the running costs and water consumption since the intermediate rinsing programmes for diluting the cleaning agent are not required. If soft water heated to 40 to 50 degrees Cis used the heat retained by the dishes at the end is sufficient to dry them.
