The arrangement is particularly intended for bundling vegetables, such as parsley, leek, chives, and greens for soup. It comprises a conveyor belt (1) on which made-up portions (7) are carried along by projections (2) to the bundling station where an upper (3) and lower (4) roll supply strips of foil tape. The strips are heat-welded together in front of and behind each bundle by vertically reciprocating heated jaws (5, 6). the belt is preferably longitudinally slotted to provide passage for the foil from the below (4) and the lower jaw (6). The jaws comprise cutters. The tape may be cut between each bundle or between groups of bundles.
