<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the title compound, a starting material of terpene perfume and pharmaceuticals, in high yield, by the reaction of isoprene and a secondary amine in the presence of a specific compound and/or under a specific atomosphere, using a Pd-P complex as a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:The title compound is obtained by the reaction of isoprene and a secondary amine at <=130 deg.C in the presence of a lower alcohol, preferably methanol or ethanol, and/or under CO2, using a Pd-P complex as a catalyst. The catalyst is the combination of a Pd (II) salt and a P compound, e.g. triphenylphosphine, etc. Their molar ratio is 0.5-2, preferably nearly 1. The molar ratio of the catalyst to isoprene is 0.001-0.1, preferably 0.005-0.05.</p> |
