PURPOSE:To prepare a carcinostatic agent having excellent antitumor activity, by using 6-MP- or 6-MPR together with N-(2-ethylhexyl)-beta-oxybutyramides. CONSTITUTION:A composition containing (A) 6-mercaptopurin (6-MP) or 6-thioinosine (6-MPR), and (B) an N-(ethylhexyl)-beta-oxybutyramide [e.g. butoctamide, N-(2-ethylhexyl)-beta-oxybutyramide semisuccinate, etc.]. Although each of these compounds has no or weak antitumor activity, the antitumor activity especially to Ehrlich scirrhous cancer is improved by the combined use thereof. |
