PURPOSE:To obtain the captioned magnetic head which is excellent in linearity of the gap, by filling a magnetic substance into the hole made in a thin plate, coupling it with a laminated core having a detection coil, cutting it from the center line of the hole, and performing re-combination by sticking a non-magnetic substance for a gap spacer to the cut end of the magnetic substance. CONSTITUTION:One long and slender hole 2 at least is made in a thin plate 1 of a non-magnetic substance whose hardness is almost equal to that of the magnetic part, such as an amorphous material, and into this hole 2 is filled a magnetic substance such as an amorphous material. Subsequently, the laminated cores 6a and 6i having a detection coil 7 are coupled with the magnetic substance 2, and it is divided into two by cutting it by a diamond cutter along a straight line C which passes through about the center of the hole 2. And the intended magnetic head 10 is obtained by recombining the cut thin plate 1 and the laminated cores 6a and 6i after sticking the magnetic substance for a gap spacer to at least one of the cut ends 8 of the magnetic substance which has filled the hole 2, by means of vapor deposition, etc. |
