Conc. textile soft-rinsing compsn. contains 8-25% >=1 cationic textile softener, (A), 0.1-5% anti-gelling agent, (B), 0.1-5% cold-stabiliser (C), in an aq. medium, and opt. standard additives. (A) are quat. ammonium cpds. having formula (I), (II) or (III). R' and R2 are 12-20C alkyl or alkenyl, esp. C chain distribution gps. as occurring in tallow fatty acid-, oleic acid-or sperm oil fatty acid alkyl; R3 is H or 1-3C alkyl, esp. Me; x is 1-5; esp. 1; m and n are 2 or 3, esp. 2;A- is Cl or Br, esp Cl and Y- is Cl or -MeSO4. (B) consists of >=1 Al salt and opt. salts of main Gp. I and/or (II). (C) consists of >=1 nonionic surfactant having formula (a) R4-O-(CH2CH2O)zH (where R4 is 12-18C alkyl and z is 6-16), (b) p-R5-C6H4-O-(CH2CH2O)zH (where R5 is 8-12C alkyl) or (c) R6-CONH-CH2-CH2-O(CH2CH2O)z-H (where R6 is 11-17C alkyl or alkenyl). The dispersions/emulsions obtd. resist storage over a wide temp. range, have low viscosity, e.g. 30-1500 cp., and are easily distributed in cold water.
