The motor-driven sliding door is fixed to a truck whose rollers work in a profiled girder. The motor is fixed to the truck above the door leaf, and has a pinion meshing with rack teeth in the girder, these teeth running parallel to and vertically above the track followed by the truck and facing towards it. The motor with truck and travel rollers can form a single assembly, and the rack teeth can be formed by a toothed belt, glued or vulcanised to the girder.
