PURPOSE:To obtain a rotary electric machine which has low cost and high quality and whose coil dielectric strength can be easily maintained, by dividing coil a unit into a plurality of portions crosswise, attaching the portions to a core and electrically and mechanically assembling them integrally. CONSTITUTION:An upper and a lower coil ends 1, 2 and coil inserts 3, which are to be fitted in the slots 4a of core 4, a are separately manufactured as a plurality of coil portions divided from one another crosswise. The coil inserts 3 are fitted in the slots 4a of the core 4. The coil ends 1, 2 are placed on both the end faces of the core 4. The coil inserts 3 and the coil ends 1, 2 are electrically and mechanically assembled integrally with one another. According to this method, the coil portions can be manufactured by automatic machines, the dielectric strength of the coil can be easily maintained and a rotary electric machine of low cost and high quality is obtained. |
