<p>The adjustable stator is intended for an eccentric worm pump. It comprises a cylindrical plastics outer mantle (1) containing the actual stator (2) in resilient material, such as rubber, preferably secured in the mantle by vulcanising. The mantle is a one or two-part plastics tube with one or two axial slots (3) respectively which fits around the stator shackle-fashion. To either side of the slot the mantle has outward flanges (4, 4') with bores (5, 6) for tensioning screws (7) to clamp the tube around the stator. The wall thickness of the one-piece mantle may gradually increase from the flanges to a maximum opposite the slot.</p> |
