The metal frame (1) is L-shaped with the small side vertical and it takes a support block (6) for a U-shaped profile (2). The plates of glass (16, 17) are separated by joint (18) and are held in place by mastic which is poured around the bottom edges and sides of the glass within the profile (19) as far as ridges (28, 29). The inside of the profile has extension piece (33) so that profile and frame can be riveted together (38) while the joint between the two (37) and the joint beneath the front of the profile are weatherproofed with a silicon seal.
