The building heating system comprises a boiler with fire and means for heating washing water, also a chimney discharging the smoke to atmosphere. It incorporates a multi-stage cental-heating and washing-water-heating preheater system, using flue preheaters of material resistant to aggressive ingredients in the fumes. All the preheaters are connected to vessels collecting the water content of the fumes. The preheaters subjected to low water pressures can be made of plastics and the chimney can also be lined internally with plastics.
