PURPOSE:To simplify windings of a pole-changing type single-phase induction motor and at the same time reduce a current input thereof by connecting a condenser to the auxiliary windings of the motor at the time of high-speed operation and connecting the auxiliary windings as main windings of the pure single-phase system at the time of low-speed operation. CONSTITUTION:Main windings 5, 7 of a single-phase induction motor are arranged electrically at a phase difference of 180 deg.. Auxiliary windings 6, 8 are arranged electrically at a phase difference of about 90 deg. with respect to main windings 5, 7. At the time of high-speed operation, the main widing 5 is connected to a power supply 1 via a contact d, the main winding 7 via contacts a, d, the auxiliary winding 6 via a contact f and a condenser 2, and the auxiliary winding 8 via contacts b, f and a condenser 2, and thereby two-pole condenser-run operation is done. At the time of low-speed operation, the main winding 5, 7 form a series arrangement and are connected to the power supply via a contact c, the auxiliary windings 6, 8 form a series arrangement and are connected to the power supply via a contact e, and thereby a four-pole pure single-phase induction motor is formed. |
