PURPOSE:To obtain at low cost the title attractive and tasty pet food without the need for raw cuttlefish as the raw material, by incorporating a pet food esp. cat food with dried cuttlefish. CONSTITUTION:In the case of a pet food, esp. cat food, an essential feed such as wheat flour, meat, or mineral is incorporated with ca.0.1-10 (pref. 0.3-30)wt.%, on a net basis, of dried cuttlefish powder or broth followed by forming into a dry-type or soft-moistened-type product. Because of no use of raw cuttlefish or its internal organs, freezing is never required for the transportation and storage of the raw material, therefore, a cat food having attractiveness and tastiness-enhancing effect can be produced at lower cost. |
