The compensation circuit has two different resistors providing the compensation and chosen such that the voltage drop across them in the rest state and their input resistance are suitable for compensating temp. characteristics and zero-point drift. The voltage assumed by the two resistors is the voltage at the point of intersection between the output characteristics in the hot and in the cold state of the detector. If the detector consists of two sensors (R3, R4) coupled in series with their connection linked to a load of zero input resistance then an additional resistor is coupled in parallel with one sensor to compensate zero-point drift. A compensation resistor has an appropriately increased resistance so that compensation does not adversely affect slope.
|
