The electric saw has a light electromotor at the end of a long pole and driving a saw blade. The user holds the pole at the lower end. The motor can be supplied from a standard 12V car battery or from a converter that converts 12V into 220V or from a special generator. The advantage lies in the speed with which trees can be lopped: e.g. a 15 cm branch can be removed in 5 seconds, taking by hand 10 minutes.
