<p>In the equipment to apply labels to a material which moves discontinuously, there is a permeable wall in the movement path of the material between the adhesive application station and the pressure station. There is a vacuum channel, surrounded by a continuous conveyor, which lies at least directly against the permeable wall, and the conveyor is driven at a suitable operating speed to lie at least in the zone of the permeable wall of the vacuum channel and the adhesive-coated material. The system ensures that labels are applied cleanly, in the correct position, without creasing or other distortion.</p> |
