PURPOSE:To prepare a coating composition having excellent scratch resistance, flexibility, dyeability, and durability, by compounding a specific epoxysilane compound, an aluminum chelate compound, and a polydentate compound. CONSTITUTION:A composition containing (A) a hydrolyzate of a silane compound having one or more epoxy groups and two ro more Si-bonded alkoxy groups in a molecule, e.g. gamma-glycidoxypropyl trimethoxysilane, (B) an aluminum chelate compound of formula Al.Xn.Y3-n [X is lower alkoxy; Y is ligand derived from M<1> COCH2COM<2> or M<3>COCH2COOM<4> (M<1-4> are lower alkyl); n is 0, 1 or 2], and (C) a polydentate compound such as acetylacetone. |
