MOLTEN IRON DESULFURIZING AGENT

PURPOSE:To enable the acceleration of the desulfurization reaction of molten iron by adding the powder and granular oxides of Fe or Mn at the specific ratio to the powder and granules of quick lime and amorphous C in which the greater portions of the grain boundaries of the fine CaO primary crystals are filled by the amorphous C. CONSTITUTION:One or more kinds of the powder and granular oxides of Fe or Mn (e.g., Fe2O3, MnO2) are added at 5-50pts. to 100pts.wt. of the powder and granules of quicklime and amorphous C in which the greater portions of the grain boundaries of the fine CaO primary crystals are filled by the amorphous C. The powder and granules of quick lime and amorphous C contain the amorphous C 4- 45pts. depositing at the grain boundaries of fine CaO primary crystals and quicklime surfaces to 100pts.wt. of quick lime.
