Kiln car for transporting ceramic mouldings - where car base contains channels and fan for circulating the kiln gases through the mouldings stacked on the car (OE 15.8.80)

The cars are used to carry the mouldings through a tunnel kiln employed for drying or baking. Each car has a grid on which the mouldings are placed, the grid being located above a gastight car base which contains at least one fan for the circulation of hot gas. The car base also contains suction channels, via which the gas is drawn towards the fan and is then blown through outlet channels. The car base pref. has funnel shaped inlets and exits on the gas channels. The suction channels are pref. located in the central zone of the car base, the outlet channels being located at the front and rear ends of the kiln car. Uniform heating of stacks of mouldings on the cars is ensured in each kiln zone.
