摘要 The aim is to achieve the same brightness level and colours in the two viewing systems without appreciable light loss. The two viewing systems have an objective lens (1a, 1b), an eyepiece lens (2a, 2b) and an interposed beam splitter (4a, 4b). The two illuminating systems have a common incident plane for the two beam splitters. The latter are set up to reflect an appreciable proportion of the component of polarised light which is at right angles to the incident plane and to transmit an appreciable portion of the component of the polarised light parallel to the incident plane. A polariser (6a, 6b) is arranged in the beam path of each illuminating system upstream of the beam splitter, with the direction of polarisation at right angles to the incident plane relative to the beam splitter; an analyser is arranged in the beam path of each viewing system between the eyepiece lens and the assigned beam splitter, with the direction of polarisation parallel to the incident plane; a wavelength plate (8), which is designed for generating a wavelength difference of half a wavelength, is arranged in the beam path between the objective lens and the surface (5) of the object, its axis being inclined at an angle of 45 DEG to the incident plane. <IMAGE>
