发明名称 SUPERHEATING PREVENTER FOR CATALYTIC CONVERTER
摘要 PURPOSE:To secure proper operation in the whole driving range as well as to prevent catalytic local deterioration by providing a device for detecting exhaust gas rate introduced to a catalytic converter and a device for controlling determined temperature in resonse to the signals. CONSTITUTION:When exhaust gas rate introduced to a catalytic converter 1 interposed into an exhaust pipe 2 is relatively less, a change-over switch 10 connected to a diaphragm device 9 of an exhaust gas rate detector 6 is connected to a first contact 10a. By this reason, as a first thermosensitive switch 7a of a controller 7 is interposed between a battery 11 and a warning light 8, the controller 7 illuminates the warning light 8 at relatively lower the first determined temperature, e.g. 800 deg.C and over. in consequence, local deteriorated area of catalyst 3 can nudge engine stop to a driver before generating dissolution. In this case, a temperature sensor 5 equipped with a thermosensitive part 5a and a control box 5b is inserted between the catalyst 3 and the controller 7.
