PURPOSE:To protect an oscillation circuit by interposing a unidirectional diode between the primary side of an exciting transformer and the oscillation circuit. CONSTITUTION:When transistor Tr14 conducting by receiving an output signal from a horizontal oscillation circuit at its base side by way of exciting transformer 13 turns OFF with the output signal cut off, a voltage at the base side of Tr14 falls suddenly down to zero. As a result, although a pulse current is generated at the primary side of exciting transformer 13 by reverse electromotive force, it can not flow into the horizontal oscillation circuit because diode 11 is opposite in polarity, so that it will flow out to the earth by way of diode 12 and capacitor 23. |
