Microprocessor controls rotation sequence of pistol targets - using sequences stored in replaceable memory which may easily be changed

The system is for automatically controlling the sequence of rotation of pistol shoot targets and comprises a microprocessor which steps a motor through a relay (12) at a rate set by a clock (4). The particular sequence is set by an encoder which provides in 8 bit word for coding by the microprocessor, each bit being set by a switch (S1-n) using light emitting diodes (01-n) to indicate the switch rate. On activation of the microprocessor it addresses a memory for instructions to read the 8 bit word which in turn directs the microprocessor to read a particular sequence from the memory. The microprocessor may be reset at any time during a sequence or may be set to initiate a single rotation of the system targets independently of the programmed sequence. The memory may easily be changed to provide a different set of sequences.
