The fastener of a shirt such as a man's outer shirt or a blouse, is a sliding clasp fastener, and extends over more than half of the front hem. The front hem conceals the fastener completely and the fastener ends beneath the collar. Alternatively the fastener may extend over the full length of the shirt front with one set of latches attached to the under edge and the other attached to the inner surface of the overlapping edge. As it has no buttons and buttonholes the shirt is cheaper to produce.
|
