Trailer with lowerable suspension - has trailing arm wheel supports and eccentric mounted dampers

The suspension for a low loader trailer has the wheels on trailing support arms (6), on the top ends of which are fitted small tags (27) to anchor the ends of hydraulic dampers (26) whose other ends are linked to chassis mountings (25). The extension of the dampers swivels the trailing arms and alters the ground clearance of the suspension. The axle is braced by a torsion spring and the dampers have a dual purpose. The system can be applied to single and a double-axle trailers so that heavy loads can be loaded with ease.
