Two=part worm delivery unit for bag filling - uses worms of differing dia so that first part gives max. fill, and second part gives 30 per cent fill

The plant is for filling bags, and comprises a controlled feed unit which removes material from a storage silo. It operates together with a delivery worm arrangement which serves a weighting point controlling the amount of material apportioned to each bag. The delivery worm is divided into two parts, the first of which has a smaller dia. than the second, and forms a controlled feed unit. First and second parts of the worm are of one-piece structure. The relationship dias of the part worm units is such that with a max fill in the first part there is less than 0.3 degree of fill in the second.
