Long gauze belt for paper-making - maintains density of running surface warp and increases ratio pitch warp wire diameter

A woven fabric of metal wire having a twill construction, in which the warp wires are cranked around the weft wires, forms a long belt for a paper making machine. On the paper side, there is a single wire binding, and the warp wires lie against each other. Whilst the density of the warp wires is maintained on the running side, the weft wires are also cranked, and the ratio of the spacing of the binding warp wires to the warp wire diameter is increased. The construction may be a four twill arrangement. The design maintains the longer life achieved by the means outlined in DT2530110, whilst at the same time it produces a paper without marking which prints much better.
