Fireproof hose has an inner tube of synthetic rubber whose outer surface is coated with a layer of natural or synthetic rubber adhesive in which are embedded layers of woven fabric. Fabric layers are covered with a fire-proof layer of silicone rubber in which may be embedded radiation reflective pulverulent materials, such as, aluminium, titanium or quartz. The rubber and adhesive layers whilst penetrating the fabric layers do not make contact with one another. Fabric layers may be made from glass, mineral wool or asbestos fibre yarns.
