PURPOSE:To detect the end-point of the reaction of carbon dioxide gas sensitively and accurately, and to make the gelling time of a soil solidifying liquid uniform, in the mixing of an aqueous solution of water glass, etc. with carbon dioxide gas, by using a pH indicator for the control of mixed liquid. CONSTITUTION:In the preparation of a soil solidifying liquid by mixing carbon dioxide gas to a system composed of an aqueous solution of water glass, and optionally an acidic reacting agent, bentonite, etc., the pH of the mixture is adjusted and its gelling time is controlled by the use of a pH indicator such as phenophthalein (color changes near pH9) or phenol red (color changes near pH7). EFFECT:The end point of the CO2 gas reaction can be detected without controlling the flow rate of the CO2 gas or the amount of the liquid. |
