Method and equipment for adding reinforcement fibres to a mixture, e.g. a concrete mixture designed for extruder application. A fibre shearer 6 is coupled to a mixer screw 2 where the various components forming the mixture are added, and then one or several lengths 8 of reinforcement fibre are sheared off in time with the rotation of the mixer screw, which fibres are fed into the mixer screw and there mixed with other components. The shearing can take place only when the mixer screw is rotating. A rotary miller is used to shear one or more ribbon-shaped fibres 8 crosswise. The fibre shearer is fitted with a fibre-feed mechanism controlled by the mixer screw. <IMAGE> |
