PURPOSE:To simplify a manufacturing process and provide an oriented thermoplastic resin thin film which has a uniform metallic gloss and excels in mechanical strength and solvent-resisting property, by blending a polyester resin with a prescribed thermoplastic resin and orienting the mixture. CONSTITUTION:A polyester resin, preferably polyethylene terephthalate, is blended with a thermoplastic resin such as polyolefin resin, which has a smaller refractive index than the polyester resin, so that the weight ratio of the thermoplastic resin to the polyester resin is 1/99-9/1. The mixture is oriented in at least one direction, thereby obtaining an objective film whose mirror plane brilliance is 20 or more. |
