The system is intended for invisibly connecting tubular frame members (1), e.g. as may be used in erecting an exhibition stand. It comprises at least one curved transition piece (11, 12, 13) for fitting between two fram members and at least one screw connection (23, 24) which extends through the piece (s) and is anchored (9) in the ends (2) of the members. The screw connection adapts itself to the curvature resulting from the interposed transition piece(s) and secures them rigidly between the tube ends. The pieces may have a spigot (14) at one end fitting into an annular recess (15) at the other end of the adjoining piece.
