The multi-way valve may be used for control purposes. It has a sliding plunger with an actuating component at one or both ends, working in a housing with control edges. A time delay (16-45) is connected between the component (51) and the plunger (11), having a damping piston (32) slid by the former and working against a control edge (22). The control edge is bypassed by a passage (35-37). The component has a connecting passage (25) in an auxiliary housing (16) enclosing the plunger. One of the time-delay passages contains a throttle (28, 29).
