<p>A security mounting for a spring back drving mirror has fitting axes at the front and rear edges of the mountings, gripped by socket strips (28) on the mirror. The socket strips have narrow mouths (29) which fit over flat securing strips (30) on the car fitting so that if the mirror tilts about one strip, the effect is a locking action. The mirror can be displaced about either axis, when struck from the front or rear, while the other axis is held securely. No additional retaining fittings are required.</p> |
