Die casting method in which a molten metal is injected under pressure into a die cavity (30) through a sprue (31) and also applied with pressure through a pressure channel (17) communicated to the die cavity (30) at a location other than the sprue (31). To ensure the fabrication of products having no gross porosity, the application of pressure through the pressure channel (17) is commenced before the molten metal solidifies in the sprue (31) which is thus clogged. The pressure force is controlled such that an injection plunger (13) is not forced backwardly. The amount of the molten metal is also controlled such that the molten metal charged in the die cavity (30) is not displaced backwardly to the sprue (31) by the molten metal which is forced out from the pressure channel (17). This method is adapted to produce parts in which the air-tightness or precision working is required and the high pressure is applied thereto.
|
