Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein neues optisch aktives, basisches Derivat des 9,10-Aethanoanthracens, das S-(+)-α-[ (Methylamino)methyl]-9,10-äthanoanthracem-9 (10H)-äthanol der Formel I und seine Saureadditionssalze, Verfahren zur Herstellung dieser neuen Stoffe, solche enthaltende pharmazeutische Präparate und ihre Verwendung als Antidepressiva.
