PURPOSE:To simplify the input of directions by setting the sensors and the arithmetic parts which calculates the signals of those sensors on the surface of a spherical cube. CONSTITUTION:A 3-dimensional direction input device contains a spherical cube 1 containing sensors 6 on its surface and supported by a stand 2. At the same time, an arithmetic parts calculates the vector connecting the fixed center of the cube 1 and a designated position on the surface of the cube 1 for output of said vector. A reverse switch 4 functions to perform the input of the direction hidden by the stand 2. The arithmetic part calculates an input direction based on the electric signal received from an array of sensors 6. These calculated directions are transmitted synchronously with each other by the requests given from a computer. |
