PURPOSE:To make it possible that a unit decides a transaction item to perform deposit and payment transactions of a kind of deposit corresponding to a passbook when the deposit passbook is inserted into the unit, in respect to the passbook by which two or more kinds of transaction item such as ordinary deposit, reserved deposit and current deposit are handled. CONSTITUTION:Passbook 1 has page 2, where transaction recording of ordinary deposit should be printed, and page 3 where transaction recording of reserved deposit should be printed, and bar marks 4 and 5 to indicate transaction items are printed at the left upper part of each print page. When the passbook is opened to a page for transaction and is inserted from passbook insertion entrance 18 of an automatic deposit machine, the account is read by reader 24, and the bar mark is read by bar mark detector 25 to transfer signal S indicating the transaction item to control part 23, and the passbook reaches print 26. After that, the payment operation is performed according to operations of the user while communicating with a computer, and data is printed on the page corresponding to the transaction item, and passbook 1 is returned to passbook insertion entrance 18. |
