IC engine ignition timing control - using microprocessor to select stored timing data in dependence on engine revolutions and ignition voltage

The timing control uses a processor (14) with at least one store, the storage addresses selected in accordance with the value of an initial engine operating parameter (12). The supplied store contents corresp. to the address are counted out and at the end of the count sequence the ignition is initiated. The store has at least two parallel storage matrices (15...17) with the address obtained in accordance with the first parameter used to access one or other of the storage matrices (15..17) in dependence on the value of a second parameter (U). Pref. the first parameter (n) is supplied by an engine revoln. counter (10) the other provided by the ignition voltage via an A/D converter (28).
