Insertion of cores in foundry mould(s) - where cores are accurately aligned w.r.t. each other and the mould via two plastic foils in which the cores are encapsulated

A die is used which corresponds with the joint line of the mould, and has recesses in positions matching the positions in which the cores will be placed in the mould. Heat and vacuum are employed to locate a plastic foil on the surface of the die and in the recesses, followed by placing the cores in the recesses. Heat and pressure are then used to weld a second plastic foil onto the first foil, thus encapsulating the cores in exact positions between the two foils. The assembly of two foils contg. the cores is then lifted out of the die and laid in one or more foundry moulds, where exact alignment of the cores is automatically ensured.
