PURPOSE:To enable stable and good image recording, by applying a critical turning force to a rotary head for a state just before ejection of drops and simultaneously changing the temperature of an ink orifice depending on an image signal to control the ejection of drops of ink. CONSTITUTION:A rotary head A is provided with a rotary arm 2 on which an ink reservoir means 3 is secured. The rotary arm is located on a rotation plane perpendicular to the rotary shaft 11 of a driving motor 1. The rotary head can be rotated by the motor. The ink reservoir means 3 is provided with an ink ejection orifice 3a. A heater 5 is placed on the inside surface of the orifice. The heater heats in response to an image signal to heat ink to change its viscosity. A recording member 4 extends almost perpendicularly to the rotation plane of the rotary head A. The head is rotated under a prescribed condition in accordance with the length of the rotary arm 2, the properties of the orifice the reference viscosity, and the surface tension, etc. of the ink to make the ink into drops and eject them from the orifice 3a to a recording material 4. |
