<p>The valve has a casing welded into a fluid pipeline and including a frusto-conical seat which widens towards the top. The casing is located below an opening in a biologically sealed chamber. A body has a frustoconical lower part which fits the seat and an upper stop surface engageable with a stop face in the casing. An obturator is movable by a rod with an extension projecting out of the chamber, a heavy plug sealing the opening in the chamber. The plug is coupled to the body by a member with a spherical upper surface on which the plug is seated. The valve is designed for use in a nuclear installation, its components being removable by a screened operator at a remote location.</p> |
