<p>The apparatus is intended for emergency medical use and comprises a case with a carrying handle. This contains an electric motor, supplied with power from a dry or rechargeable battery. The motor drives an air pump which provides either a suction effect or compressed air. The pump is of the vane type and is controlled through a relay. A container is fitted, this being used to contain removed mucus or as an air storage tank. To control its performance, flow resistor nozzles are fitted into the respective air lines.</p> |
