Liq. gas lighter flame control valve - made from layers of polyester compressed to vary leakage

Lighter valve is fitted inside a cylindrical bore in the lighter body and consists of a disc of pure polyester of material having density of 170 g/cm2. The disc is covered with aluminium foil of thickness 0.02 mm and a third disc of polyester of 400 g/m2. Flow of gas is regulated by comprising the discs against a moveable plate to restrict leakage around the edges.
